On April 26, a new option in global domains will become available. This new domain will eventually be available to all, but due to its anticipated popularity and resulting demand, registrars will be accepting applications in three stages before general availability.

The first application stage will open on April 26, with initial ‘Global Sunrise’ applications. Businesses owning a registered trademark will be eligible to apply for a .CO domain for this trademark ahead of the pack. Those without a registered trademark will have an opportunity to apply to secure their .CO domain during the Landrush stage.
The 3 stages and dates are as follows:
1. Global Sunrise: 26 April – 10 June
2. Landrush: 21 June – 13 July
3. General Availability: 20 July
