We have been made aware that some TPP customer websites may have recently been part of a coordinated security attack.

The source of the vulnerability was via Parallels Plesk software where Parallels has released a security fix shortly after which we have applied to your server, as an additional layer of security we have chosen to reset all user passwords.

As your existing Plesk password will not work please follow the instruction within our notification email to reset (please use a solid password convention such as Capitals, Numbers and Symbols).

Password resets were made today (16th February 2012) and as a result your existing password can no longer be used for FTP purposes.

To reset your password, you will need to click on the link in the email we have sent and enter your old password followed by a new password. Please be advised that a secure password should be a minimum of 8 characters in length, contain at least one lower case character, one upper case character and one number or symbol. Your password should not be made up of any dictionary words. Please DO NOT reset this password to your old password.

Our server administrators have identified the cause of the problem to be an influx of traffic and have performed an emergency reboot resulting in the resolution of this outage.

Impact: Websites on shared web hosting, using an MSSQL database backend, and those using Session State server for session handling will experience server timeout errors when accessing the service for a period of up to 30 minutes between the hours of 4-6am 10th March.

Email services are not affected by this upgrade.
